This is a photo I snagged from the website for the Asheville, North Carolina-based business Cynthia’s Twigs (www.cynthiastwigs.com). Evidently Ms. Cynthia makes these unbearably cute bike baskets so that you can take your Wienzel on the road. The one I want is suitable for dogs in the 10-to-20-pound range and would cost about $50 — before shipping costs and the purchase of necessary accessories like a harness and soft pillow.
I think Little Scoops would thrive in a bike basket, as he was by far the top agility student in our Puppy Kindergarten class, in which he was asked to ride placidly around the room in a plastic wagon. Alas, I’m afraid this purchase will have to wait until I somehow become flush with funds! But wouldn’t Scoopers look cute riding with me on my vintage blue bike?
