Guess who loves baby carrots? Baby Snookums!
Today was the first day Scoops tried this tasty vegetable, and I was so tickled when he snarfed it down with joy. The results from a quick-and-dirty Internet search (see this Ask the Pet Doctor column) seem to indicate that carrots are a safe snack option for doggies.
I’m a wee bit concerned, however, about how these treats will affect his bowel function. The other day Naughty Little Wienzel got into some bacon-flavored treats. When I was out, he gobbled up the whole bag and then proceeded to poop all over — inside and outside! — for about a day.
But I’m thinking these natural treats (of which he only had two) will be a little less disruptive to his digestive system. I can only hope.
